| Chart of the Brethren Bodies | The third and current 2005 edition of the Chart of Brethren Bodies
is available. Based on compilations by Donald F. Durnbaugh and others,
including the Brethren Encyclopedia, the chart shows the significant
historical events that created the “Brethren” denominations from the
beginning in 1708 to the 21st century in time-line form. A
brief explanation of each event borders the time-line on three sides.
This clear graphic display of our Church’s dynamics makes this chart an
excellent study aid for membership and Sunday School classes. The three
color chart that measures 36 inches long by 24 inches high is only
available from the Brethren Heritage Center. This is a great addition to
any Church library.
To the genealogist it is
a must in understanding variations within the Brethren bodies. |
